Fortunately, now the wood resurfaces with a vengeance. Not only in soils or indoor furniture, also in places like our garden or even in our shower. Such material is having very good results as a floor in pools, and is that a perfectly treated wood can give great results slip, as well as withstand high temperatures caused by sun exposure.

Note that a plus in its placement is too easy installation, and you do not need to get into major works to enjoy this kind of result. These pallets are made with wood exterior Durable high density and placed on wooden battens fixed to the original pavement.

As for the woods used for this type of work we highlight the Ipe wood, very heavy and hard, the Merbau from Asia and Oceania, teak, which despite being less harsh than the above is very acceptable in the market Irokocon or properties similar to the last.

Whatever our choice we will have a beautiful result, in addition to properties that will make sure our pool.

Only in soil generously paid the roses grow and bloom best. During the growing season should be given twice a formula in artificial fertilizer NPK 12 +10 +18, or if not, a biological fertilizer with trace elements. To prevent disease it is best to a fertilizer with a high content of magnesium and potassium and, very important! Low in nitrogen!

Since early September the compost no longer necessary. Otherwise, the plant would grow too long, new growth which would not become resistant to frost before winter. In November or February, the roses will thank you for a basic subscription or reserve, for example, compost mixed with cow dung.

Frost protection

All roses must be protected from frost in some way. The shield budding, ie the place where the cultivated rose has been grafted onto rootstocks in (foot of a wild rose), is very sensitive to frost. For this reason bush should lanyard, as they say in technical terms. This also prevents desiccation.

To protect the soil around the roses against the deterioration of the structure, it is advisable to apply a coating of, for example, straw, manure, well rotted, coconut bark, chips or homemade compost. Protecting roses is removed only when the danger of frost has largely disappeared. In practice this will be in March or April.

In these same months there will be time for pruning. In dry periods should periodically water the roses, perhaps more people are hungry for your garden. The suckers that spring from the ground should be cut as soon as possible. These outbreaks are from the rootstock and are recognized by the large number of spikes and leaves of seven leaflets. If we remove these shoots, soon would have a rich flowering wild rose,! Instead of the rose you had chosen!

When you’ve made a choice from among the many varieties and colors of roses and you are ready to plant your favorite rosebush, you should stop for a moment to think about the following:

1. The roses grown in pots can be planted throughout the year as long as there is no frost.

2. In the case of roses grown in the open, it is best planted in autumn. Then the soil is still warm, so you can still make some rootlets. Only then the plant will have an optimum growth the following spring.

3. The roses like a sunny spot, but some varieties will sometimes too hot in one location to the south. Rambler roses, for example, are a good choice. ! Look at this when choosing!

4. A rose bushes like a warm and airy, where the wind can caress the leaves. This is not the same as a windy or drafty, where all kinds of diseases lurk.

5. Climbers should not be planted too close to a wall, where most of the time the soil is too dry. A distance of about 30 cm. is perfect.

6. The roses are pretty picky about soil type. Where best bloom is in a clayey or silty soil slightly. A sandy soil can be enriched with compost eventually. The heavy clay can be looser basalt flour. An acidic peat improve if paid annually with lime. For all types of soil is advisable to make a large planting hole and fill it with special soil for roses. After all, you can not plant your new purchase more than once, and so the plant will have the best possible start.

7. To stimulate the soil life and limit damage from frost, intelligent quilting (cover the soil with leaves and old manure) directly at the time of planting.

8. Before planting roses, put them first in a bucket of water overnight.

9. Stir the ground and make a planting hole large enough so that the roots of the rose can extend well.

10. Plant the rose so deep that the shield budding (the gnarled, from which spring the branches) is approximately 5 cm. below the earth (this, of course, is not valid for roses standing).

11. The disturbed soil mixed with compost or manure is spread over the roots. Soil firmly with your foot, otherwise the roots will not come into contact with the ground and take root rose no good.

12. Water thoroughly after planting.

The climbing roses require some extra care, provided they are planted against a wall. Near foundations usually have few nutrients available, so it is inevitable to improve the soil. Fill the planting hole generously with soil quality and cow manure or special rose fertilizer, and plant the rose about 30 cm. the wall. Since a wall next to the land is often very dry, much water should, even when the rose has begun to grow.

In choosing and purchasing a climbing rose almost everyone has in view the romantic image of a cascade of flowers with a sweet aroma. To make this dream a reality, it is good to look at the possibilities in more detail. In the background are not talking about real climbers as they do not have tendrils or vines such as clematis vine, or the ‘sale’ of the ivy. The climbing roses climb up if you only you give them a hand, guiding and tying.

What varieties can be chosen?
There is a wide range: the ‘Rambler’ (rose-vines) are widely used and have good growth characteristics. They bloom in the wood of more than one year young branches are guided with ease. In optimal circumstances this variety can grow to 3 meters per year. Most flowers appear in the twisted branches that grow horizontally, the rose looks great when you can follow his own path with ease.

Flowering occurs in late spring and early summer, and in the case of some varieties, again in autumn. Although certain individuals may be sensitive to late blight, most of the ‘Ramblers’ are vigorous shrubs that can withstand some frost even without needing to be protected for it.

Another good choice is the climbing variety of ‘hybrid tea’ (climbing). Sometimes these roses are classified into the categories of ‘large flowers’ (grandiflora): in them highlights the beauty of some large flowers filled in one tendril. Then there are the ‘rose-clusters’ (floribunda), who always have many small flowers on a branch. The cascade of flowers, inflorescences may consist of single or double.

To prevent the plant from becoming glabrous at the bottom, should guide the branches horizontally. This is to obtain a uniform flowering the whole plant and not just at the top. The varieties ‘climbler’ are a little weaker than the ‘Ramblers’, but with care and appropriate planting site, are certainly an excellent purchase for your garden or balcony.

Very popular is derived from a variety of climbing roses ‘flowers large’, the so-called ‘pillar rose.’ As the name already makes one suspect, it is guided along a pillar or a wooden or metal. This variety is less high, about 1.50 to 2 meters on average, and the rings are slightly stronger than its ‘big sister’. This is a good alternative for a small garden or balcony, but also as a striking attraction in the middle of a clump of roses or both sides at the beginning of a path.

Finally, we should mention the varieties for repeated and long flowering. If you cut the flowers after flowering until the first ‘road’ (the first branch, which has five leaflets), your effort will be rewarded with a second bloom abundantly. If you do not remove it, this will be at the expense of the next flowering. However, the rose is generous: in this case will offer its beautiful red rose hips, which will be very ornamental in autumn and winter months.

- When do the pruning, remove all dead branches whenever you find.

- Wilted and withered flowers should also be cut because they are consuming nutrients that could be used for new flowers. You can make the cut from the second sheet.

- Outbreaks that arise from the Rosal rootstocks must be eradicated, since they do not flower and also waste water for part of the other branches stronger.

- We must make a balance between old and young branches, considering the latter those with less than two years.

- When do the pruning, try to open the bush, avoiding the branches intersect. A good resource is to use small pieces of duct tape to mark the areas that we cut.

- A plant with many branches blooms in abundance, but a mediocre appearance, as the sap in feeding wastes unnecessary branches.

It is advisable to apply some specific organic fertilizer for these plants, although we await the first buds to do so. If necessary, there are certain mineral fertilizers that supply the Rosales nutritional deficiencies, such as potassium or nitrogen. If you see their leaves turn a yellowish cast, go to your nursery confidence.

After the pruning, the Rosal just get three to four hours of the morning sun to flower regularly. With regard to the risks, prefers the middle ground, neither too much water or drought. If grown in pots, should water it every three or four days, and if it is in the garden once a week. Los Rosales thrive and grow in temperate zones more easily in cold winter conditions and ice cream, soft springs, and very sunny days in summer.

The end of winter is an important day for lovers of gardening, and it is time to prune the plant that gives us the most beautiful flower garden: the rose. The good weather we have enjoyed since the beginning of the year has meant that the month of March is the ideal time to get down to work. If we advance the pruning, we run the risk of frost late February, and if we delay too long, the flowering will Rosal and resentful at the beginning of the summer heat.

However, in regions with mild climate, pruning can be done ahead of time. Each has its own peculiarities Rosal when the scissors put him, so we know in advance all the details. Rafael Salmeron, director of The Garden Center Penot, has clear advantages of good sanitation Rosales: “this pruning is intended to improve growth, flowering vegetation and Rosal, improving its strength and balancing new and old wood the foot. ” A proper pruning is synonymous with abundant flowers and strong in the spring.

Rose standing areas
The Rose standing areas are the most common and easy to find. The bush varieties should be pruned as long as glass, eradicating the central branches and those that may be damaging to other stronger. When cutting a branch or other, look you in thickness: if it is small (like a pen) makes three buds, and if they are thicker, six. Always prune a bud facing outward, so that you gain Rosal cupped. It is important that the cut is always oblique, thus avoiding the accumulation of fluid. Try to have sharp scissors.

On the other hand, vine climbers and have a number of particularities, as Rafael says Salmeron, “climbing roses need more severe pruning early to ‘educate’ to form the basic structure that will cover our pergola , threshing or arc. then be reduced to maintain a balance of timber and remove suckers and branches that cross. ” We must ensure that the sprouts grow as horizontally as possible.

These spectacular flowers can be more than 100 different species, so the variety in their shapes and colors is almost endless. In this report we present you guys consider the twelve most beautiful and original.

One of the most special gifts you can receive a dozen roses. The most common is that they are all the same type? But what you like to receive a rose for each type and each color? Well, maybe not the best idea, since it would be a bunch a bit chaotic, but if you decided to make this gift to someone, the twelve species that we introduce would be good candidates.

Soleil D’Or
This is a cross between Rosa foetida with blind ‘Antoine Ducher’ whose main feature is its intense yellow color that slides down to the orange and red and double flowers. In addition, this species roses have much vegetation on the bottom. The perfume of the Soleil D’Or is exquisite. This beautiful flower we owe to Joseph Pernet-Ducher florist who created it in 1900.

Rosa Gallica
This species also has its origin in France, and its junction with Rosa macrantha is known as ‘Complicated’, despite being one of the easiest flowers. This is a very colorful and unique species, and was one of the first roses appeared. It’s the most expensive, but because of her beauty, worth spending on them.

Chrysler Imperial
It is certainly the image that comes to mind when we think of a Rose. Its red color and texture reminiscent of velvet. In 1957 the certificate was awarded ‘Gold Certificate’, the highest aspiration of the World Association granting Rosales. The perfume that gives us the Chrysler Imperial varies according to the stage where you are: the freshness of the cocoon to the sweetness of the corolla withers.

Iceberg
Another common species of roses, this time white, is the Iceberg (as it is known in Spain), Fee des Neiges (Snow Fairy, the name given in France and its influence), Schneewittchen (Snow White, in German). It is capable of many white flowers, unlike its competitor, the species Virgo, with double flowers but more isolated.

Mme. Perre S. Dupont
Its special feature is its golden yellow color, and since the mutation was achieved which makes climbing is a favorite for decorating vertical spaces in yellow. This species comes from a cross between varieties pernetianas by Charles Mallerin. In the layers of petals you can see several colors: red, orange, yellow …

Rosa rugosa
This species is the most difficult, so care must be taken when growing them. Its smell is the most delicious, and bears fruit in bright yellow and red, which last a long time. The spines with which the mind can remember the cactus, but it is really stings.

Michelle Meilland or Gioia
It was the first awarded the title ‘World Favourite Rose’. It grows on shrubs vigorous and strong, and comes from the cross between Madame Butterfly and Joanna Hill. Its perfume is the delight of those who come to it, and also his view, as their colors may vary.

Sevillana
Like the foregoing, the factory Meilland. Is the most resistant to pests and diseases, and unlike all others, does not require the removal of faded flowers, and pruning is to remove one third of the plant after the intense cold. The color gives us depends on what day of the opening are, and can vary between orange and red. But Seville is not only different in their care: unlike others, has no fragrance.

Sutter’s Gold
These roses are very special because of its color, ranging from golden yellow to orange, giving the impression of reflections roses. It is the first to appear after the winter, and its name comes from the owner of the land where gold appeared around 1850, during the gold rush. Thus, ‘Sutter’s Gold’ is the most spectacular.

Rosa Chinensis
To shine in all its glory, it is important not to place this species from China in the sun. Its aroma is reminiscent of tea, and in the last 150 years has grown to semi-double or double flowers get, with more petals than the first. As in other species, colors may vary depending on the grower.

Versicolor
Its petals are small, and get a hot pink that catches the attention of any expert in Rosas. Its most distinctive feature alternating bands are pale pink with hot pink. They have a semi-double blossom that resembles a cup, and bud, yellow. The best way is to put it very compact bushes, hedges provide you and borders that will be the envy of all.

Baccara
The last of our roses, and by no means the least spectacular, is Baccara. Roses are always traditional florists have found. Not too strong, but their stems are straight and rigid, which makes them ideal for flower bouquets and schools. To last, you have to place them in clean water, and cut the stem every two days.
